An Institutional Framework is in place for the implementation and monitoring of SDGs in the State.

• State Level Steering Committee (SLSC), chaired by Chief Secretary with members as Secretaries of related departments and Secretary of the Nodal Department as the Convener.
• SDG Monitoring Group (SMG) chaired by the Secretary of the Nodal Department with members as Chiefs of all Technical Divisions in SPB, Director of Economics & Statistics, Addl. Director (General) of Economics & Statistics, Director, KILA, Economic Advisor to VC, SPB, Director of Environment & Climate Change, Joint Director of Census Operations, Convener, SLBC and Director of the Nodal Department as the convener. Three experts/academicians for each dimension were also added as members.
• SDG Cell in the Nodal Department to support the Nodal Officer
• Task Forces for each Goal with officers from related Implementing Departments/Agencies and nodal officers from Administrative Departments
• State Planning Board (SPB) as the Strategic Partner, Directorate of Economic and Statistics (DES) as the Data Partner, Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA) as the Capacity Building and Localising Partner, Information and Public Relations Department (I&PRD) as the Media Partner
• Civil Society Organisations/Voluntary Organisation.
